Main duties of the job

As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will be supporting a young man in his twenties who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including left side weakness, fatigue, executive function difficulties, and short-term memory/concentration issues. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily routines, personal hygiene and mobility, administering medication, providing emotional support, and maintaining accurate care records. You will also collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the client's well-being.

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a support worker to work alongside our client with complex needs in Rugby, Warwickshire.

Pay: £15.09 per hour

Hours: 4 per week (Thursdays 10:00 – 14:00)

About the Role

You’ll be supporting a young man in his twenties who has complex needs due to a brain injury, including left side weakness, fatigue, executive function difficulties, short ther memory/concentration issues. We're looking for someone with experience in complex care and the ability to build a strong, supportive relationship through clear communication and empathy.

He enjoys football, gaming and socialising with friends. Going to the gym is also a big part of his life. He lives in his own accommodation and has no pets currently. Your role will be to support him physically and emotionally, helping him live life to the fullest.

What We’re Looking For

Due to the client's needs, we’re seeking a female support worker with:

  • Previous experience in complex care ideal but not essential
  • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed

You’ll need to be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to build a trusting relationship with the client and her family.
