Main duties of the job

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. You will support our client socially, getting her out into the community and provide companionship. Key responsibilities include delivering personalized support, assisting with daily living activities, social interaction and accessing the community, providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records of care provided, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Job responsibilities

Brain Injury Support Worker

Location: Cheadle Hulme Hours: 

Monday-Friday

09:00-14:00pm 3 days a week

14:00-20:00pm 2 days  a week

 

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Brain Injury Support Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to our client, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Due to role responsibilities, you must have a full UK driving licence and business insurance, with access to your own vehicle.

About the Client:  Our client is in her 50s with a brain injury, following an accident. As a result, she has cognitive impairment and memory loss.

In this role, you will support our client socially, getting her out into the community and provide companionship.

 

Key Responsibilities:

    • Deliver personalized support to our client.
    • Assist with daily living activities, social interaction and accessing the community.
    • Provide emotional support and companionship.
    • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in the client's condition.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

Requirements:

    • Experience in a similar role, preferably with brain injury experience.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Energetic, upbeat, and empathetic nature.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work the specified hours.
    • Valid UK driver's license.
