Hourly Pay:£15.50-£16.40 Location: Peacehaven

Night Shift: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays 8pm-8am

At Sonderwell, we believe in making a real difference to people’s lives. As a Complex Care Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to care for individuals with complex needs and help them live the life they choose. You’ll be part of a supportive, caring team that will provide all the training and development you need to support your client in a rewarding, fulfilling role.

Care is personal, and everyone has different needs. At Sonderwell, we embrace these differences, offering a range of care opportunities to suit our clients. Whether it’s assisting with getting up in the morning, helping with medical appointments, or providing long-term support throughout the day, you’ll make a meaningful impact in your client’s life.

It’s essential to build a strong, trusting relationship with those you care for, and the role involves both physical and emotional support. You will be trained in the clinical skills relevant for the client.

The client you will be supporting has some understanding of verbal communication but prefers supplementary methods like Makaton or BSL. They have a cheerful disposition and enjoy calm activities like watching television and participating in gentle exercises, such as stretching or rolling on floor mats. Patience, flexibility, and compassion are key to providing the personal care they deserve.

Supporting You

At Sonderwell, we don’t just focus on care; we focus on building relationships. You’ll receive online and classroom training specific to complex care needs and the opportunity to study for a relevant NVQ.

You may work independently or as part of a team depending on the client’s needs. If you have the availability and interest, you can take on multiple clients.

Before starting, you’ll have the chance to meet your client and their family, ensuring you’re well-prepared for the role. You’ll also have ongoing support from a Care Co-ordinator or Nurse Manager and access to our Carer App, which provides essential insights and resources.

What We Offer

We offer flexible work hours, including both full-time and part-time opportunities, as well as day and night shifts. Our benefits package is continuously evolving to ensure you get the most out of your career with Sonderwell. Plus, if you refer a friend who joins us, you could receive a referral bonus!

You’ll also have access to our Employee Assistance Programme, which focuses on your well-being, offering you the support you need both personally and professionally.

Diversity & Inclusion

At Sonderwell, we value diversity and inclusion. We are committed to creating an environment where all employees feel valued, respected, and empowered. We believe that diversity drives excellence and are committed to ensuring that our workforce reflects the communities we serve.

We encourage applicants from all backgrounds and, where possible, will provide accommodations for individuals with disabilities.
