Job summary

This is an exciting new opportunity to support a young adult with a brain injury in Wilmslow, Cheshire. The role involves providing compassionate and empathetic care to assist the client with their daily activities, religious practices, and community engagement. The successful candidate will have previous experience in complex care or brain injury support, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Main duties of the job

The key responsibilities of this role include engaging with the client's bespoke routines and assisting in daily activities, providing emotional support and companionship, maintaining accurate records of care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver comprehensive care. The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, particularly with complex care or brain injury, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a compassionate and empathetic approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work the specified hours (08:00 - 20:00 Monday - Sunday) and a full UK driving licence with access to your own car are also required.

New Opportunity Available: Bank Role – Support Worker in Wilmslow, Cheshire Salary: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour

An exciting new opportunity has opened within our team to support a young adult in Wilmslow, Cheshire. Our client, who has experienced a brain injury at birth, is now visually impaired and is seeking support with his Christian  religious practices, as well as companionship within the broader community. This role is to provide vital support in a compassionate and empathetic manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with the client’s bespoke routines and assist in daily activities.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided, reporting any changes in the client's condition.
  • Work in collaboration with healthcare professionals and family members to deliver comprehensive care.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, particularly with complex care or brain injury.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work the specified hours (08:00 – 20:00 Monday - Sunday ).
