Job summary

This is a part-time opportunity to provide cerebral palsy support for a young adult client in Maidenhead, Berkshire. The role involves assisting with daily living activities, shopping, meal preparation, and providing emotional support and companionship. Job responsibilities

About the role:

  • A new opportunity has arisen to join our new client in Maidenhead, Berkshire. Our client is a young adult with mild cerebral palsy, who lives alone and whilst he is at full capacity, physically mobile and manages his own finances, he can experience high levels of fatigue so you will support as a Buddy with shopping, activities and administrative tasks when necessary.   Hours:  This is a bank vacancy to cover 4 hours shifts - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday - either 10-2pm or 11-3pm. There may be adhoc Sunday requirements also.  

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Delivering personalised care routines
    • Assisting with daily living activities, shopping, and meal preparation.
    • Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
    • Providing emotional support and companionship.
    • Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients’ conditions.
    • Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.

    Requirements:

    • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
    • Relevant qualifications in health and social care.
    • A UK Driving Licence and own vehicle.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Flexibility to work the specified hours.
