Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cross-Sectional Radiographers with a strong focus on MRI to join our dynamic imaging team across multiple locations

The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging, supporting protocol development, and ensuring the safety and comfort of our patients.

This role is ideally suited to someone confident in cross-sectional imaging techniques, and committed to clinical excellence.

You will work collaboratively in a small but friendly team, contributing to service development and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and imaging safetety

Main duties of the job

  1. Perform Diagnostic Imaging:

    • Deliver high-quality MRI scans and other cross-sectional imaging (CT, as required) according to clinical protocols.

    • Ensure accurate patient positioning, image acquisition, and adherence to imaging protocols.

  2. Patient Care and Safety:

    • Prepare and support patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance.

    • Maintain patient safety, including monitoring for adverse reactions and adhering to radiation safety and MRI safety protocols.

  3. Protocol Development and Image Evaluation:

    • Assist in the development, optimisation, and implementation of MRI and cross-sectional imaging protocols.

    • Evaluate image quality and make adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy.

  4. Clinical Governance and Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with HCPC registration requirements, departmental procedures, and professional standards.

    • Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in line with information governance and data protection standards.

  5. Collaboration and Teamwork:

    • Work closely with radiologists, fellow radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and service delivery.

    • Provide guidance and support to junior staff or trainees as required.

  6. Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance:

    • Perform routine checks, quality assurance, and maintenance of MRI and other cross-sectional imaging equipment.

    • Report and escalate any equipment faults or safety concerns promptly
