Job summary

The Quality Lead (Clinical) is a key operational and clinical governance role responsible for ensuring that DrPA Secure maintains the highest standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and compliance at Manston STHF & Western Jet Foil.

The post-holder a registered nurse (Band 6 or equivalent) will oversee quality assurance systems, clinical audits, and performance monitoring to support safe, effective, and ethical healthcare delivery in line with Home Office and NHS standards.

Working closely with the Senior Management Team, operational leads, HR, and governance stakeholders, the Quality Lead will monitor compliance with contractual, legislative, and regulatory requirements while driving continuous improvement across all service areas.

This role is central to maintaining clinical and operational integrity, supporting staff development, and ensuring healthcare services are delivered in line with DrPA Secures CARE ethos Compassion, Assurance, Respect, and Empowerment.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain a robust clinical quality management framework for Manston STHF.
  • Monitor compliance with CQC standards, NMC Code of Conduct, Home Office requirements, and statutory obligations.
  • Lead clinical and operational audits, quality reviews, and inspections; ensure findings are actioned effectively.
  • Oversee clinical incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes, ensuring lessons are embedded.
  • Support the clinical governance agenda, contributing to policy updates, morbidity reviews, and patient safety initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation, policies, and procedures aligned with best practice and legal frameworks.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain quality and performance dashboards, clinical KPIs, and governance reports for management review.
  • Analyse healthcare data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Present clinical and operational assurance findings to the Senior Management Team, highlighting risks and recommendations.
  • Support external audits, inspections, and regulatory visits (e.g., CQC, Home Office, NHS England).

Stakeholder Engagement & Training

  • Act as a clinical resource and advisor on matters relating to quality, safety, and compliance.
