Job summary

Heart & Lung Health is the market leading teleradiology company specialising in cardiothoracic imaging. We provide services for the UK Targeted Lung Health Checks, NHS Trusts, private healthcare providers, academia and industry partners including work with artificial intelligence (AI) companies. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Imaging Informatics Manager to join our dynamic team.

Main duties of the job

  • The candidate must have a significant knowledge of Imaging informatics and be fully comfortable with PACS / RIS systems.
  • The candidate will report to the IT Director.
  • The candidate will support the Senior Imaging Systems Specialist and Imaging Systems Administrator in the day to day running of the IT platform including, but not limited to, support of AI integrations, user roles and worklists.
  • The candidate will work with the Senior Imaging Systems Specialist to develop more efficient ways of working, advising the IT Director and possible innovations.
  • The candidate will support the development and integration of our new the IT ticket support portal (Halo) managing ticket.
  • The candidate must have the ability to truly multitask across a range of processes and tasks every day, with the ability to re-prioritise work as requested or needed.
  • The candidate must be organised, can track, work through and come back to different threads and workstreams.
  • A candidates knowledge of Cimar UK Ltd and / or ITIL methodology would be desirable but not essential.
  • The candidate would be comfortable working from home across a range of accounts with good communication skills, interacting with a range of personnel internally, across NHS and private hospitals.
  • The job will require some weekend availability. The main working week can be set up flexibly, with agreement.
  • The company will provide appropriate training and equipment.

Job responsibilities

The Imaging Informatics Manager provides technical leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of current and planned imaging applications, services, and related technologies within Heart & Lung Health (HLH). This position ensures continuity and alignment of Heart & Lung Healths clinical imaging systems and services direction.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Establishes goals and priorities in the overall management of current and planned services, and related technologies.
  • Coordinates the assignment of resources to clinical imaging projects, operations, & incidents.
  • The candidate will work with the Senior Imaging Systems Specialist to develop more efficient ways of working, advising the IT Director and possible innovations.
  • The candidate will support the Senior Imaging Systems Specialist and Imaging Systems Administrator in the day to day running of the IT platform including, but not limited to, support of AI integrations, user roles and worklists.
  • Participates in the development of clinical imaging standards, policies, and procedures
  • Ensures that the design and use of clinical imaging applications adhere to established HLH policies, procedures, and standards
  • The candidate will support the development and integration of our new the IT ticket support portal managing ticket requests across the multiple sites we work across.
  • Collaborates with enterprise subject matter experts and services in managing resolution of Clinical Imaging application incidents.
  • Serves as a key division resource for implementation and support of clinical imaging applications, devices and hardware facilities within HLH.
  • Provides escalation level support as a local medical imaging subject matter expert to resolve incidents or fulfill higher level requests.
  • Coordinates and manages vendor support for clinical imaging solutions.
  • Conducts problem analyses and timely and accurate resolution for complex issues
  • Participates in root cause analysis as trends in issues in specialty area(s) are identified.
  • Coordinates testing for advanced clinical applications within their specialty area(s); assists in interpretation of test plans and in troubleshooting.
  • Works with the team to design and develop base education/training materials in clinical application specialty area(s) to support staff training and continued education.
  • Actively supports and promotes systems standardisation, utilisation, and best practices.
  • Participates with peers in enterprise communities to identify and evaluate best practices, packaging and promoting efforts.
  • Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
