Ways to Wellness is looking for a new Communications and Marketing Officer to join our friendly, supportive and committed team in Newcastle upon Tyne.Working with our Head of Communications and Marketing, this part-time role offers a great opportunity for anyone wishing to support a vibrant and highly-skilled team whose work changes lives and provides evidence for new ways of working to address health inequalities.Whether you have some experience or are at an early stage in your communications career, applicants should be professional, efficient, and possess excellent written, digital, and interpersonal skills.In return,

Main duties of the job
Job purpose/summary
Ways
to Wellness provides
a trusted test bed for new ways of working in healthcare, bringing stakeholders
together from across academia as well as public, private and charitable
sectors, to pilot and prototype interventions that tackle health inequalities,
primarily across the North East and North Cumbria.
The
role of the Communications and Marketing Officer will be critical to our work,
and the successful candidate will help us expand our reach and maximise
engagement by building and maintaining excellent relationships with a wide
range of internal and external colleagues.
You
will support the Head of Communications and Marketing, as well as the wider
Senior Management Team, in achieving our strategic aims, helping to ensure we
have the right tools and tactics in place to do so.
You
will be supported to monitor and evaluate the use of our communications and
marketing channels, and assist our project teams with appropriate
communications and marketing activity that showcases and shares learnings from
their work, while recognising the vital support of our partners.
To
ensure best practice, it will be necessary for the successful candidate to
remain actively informed of the latest developments in the field of
communications and marketing, including new technologies, platforms, and
channels.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and

Printed communications
Develop and/or work with
designers to develop and deliver printed communications - leaflets, posters, banners,

Assisting colleagues and stakeholders with the smooth and
successful delivery of conferences and events that support organisational goals
and the objectives of our projects
Representing Ways to Wellness at external events
Media relations
Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing to maximise
the impact of media opportunities; this includes identifying potential
opportunities to showcase and promote our work, and helping to secure and
monitor external coverage
Working with internal and external stakeholders to ensure
messaging about Ways to Wellness is accurate and up to date
Responding appropriately to media enquiries where appropriate,
sometimes out of hours
Monitoring and evaluation
Monitoring website and social media analytics, and reporting on
these on a monthly basis
With the team, collating and analysing the findings of our work,
and ensuring that we are sharing our learning with the most appropriate
stakeholders via the most appropriate channels
Supporting the evaluation of communications and marketing tools
and services from external providers to ensure we are getting high-quality,
cost-effective support where required

Work
with your line manager to undertake continual personal and professional
development, taking an active part in reviewing and developing the role and its
