As a Clinical Manager (Paramedic) and part of the senior leadership team, you will play a crucial role in our organisation, overseeing various aspects of our clinical operations.

At our family-run ambulance service, you'll become an integral part of a close-knit team with a passion for serving our community. Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing clinical support and guidance.

- Recruitment, training and appraisal of all staff- Developing and implementing clinical policies and procedures.- Ensuring compliance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) standards.- Collaborating with other management roles to optimise service delivery.- Contributing to the expansion of our services across all avenues.- Shift and event cover.

The requirements of this role are as follows:

- Clinical registration, Paramedic HCPC is essential.- Strong leadership and management skills.- Experience in clinical operations and compliance.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment.

Running alongside the provision of transport we are now offering a first aid training facility to support our team and other businesses and schools in Cornwall. This is a relatively new branch of Lifestar and we are looking to market this further.

Responsible to: Managing Director

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To manage the operational and strategic functions of the organisation and provide clinical support, leadership, and guidance.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Organising and co-ordinating operations and procedures to ensure operational and strategic organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Developing procedures and methods of ensuring compliance with the various legislative and regulatory requirements affecting Lifestar Medical Ltd and its activities.
  • Monitoring and managing the various required compliance targets to ensure strategic and operational effectiveness.
  • Providing clinical and operational advice and guidance to staff in line with current best practices.
  • Developing and implementing policies alongside the Managing director.
  • Managing staffing levels and the team to ensure operational capability.
  • Arrange, manage and grow, with the assistance of the managing director appropriate training sessions and courses relevant for staff and external booked QualSafe approved courses.
  • Responsible for policies and procedures alongside the Managing Director.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES

Operational Management

  • Oversee the management of day-to-day bookings, enquiries and the tasking of staff and resources.
  • Ensure the operational aspects of Lifestar Medical Ltd are effectively managed, both operationally and strategically.
  • Assessing and Managing changes to strategic or operational requirements based on reporting and requirements for change.
  • Monitor and manage repairs and services etc required to ensure the vehicle fleet remains in good and serviceable condition.

Administration management

  • Ensure the appropriate completion, audit and management of incidents and safeguarding concerns.
  • Develop and monitor auditing and patient transport systems.
  • Ensure compliance with contractors and the various legislative and regulatory requirements are adhered to (e.g CQC, Health & Safety etc)
  • Establish and maintain effective systems for monitoring operational performance against agreed targets.
  • Oversee the safe storage, audit, and manage the ordering and supply of Medicines required as per LSM policy.
  • Monitoring audits and checks of equipment and stock levels to ensure operational ability and legal compliance.
  • Completion and management of the staff rota.
  • Managing and reviewing policies and procedures alongside the Managing director.

Finance

  • Manage the ordering of stock and equipment.
  • Manage stock, equipment and repair budgets and reporting.

Monitoring Business targets and Planning

o Work closely with the Managing Director to monitor Lifestar Medical Ltds performance against business objectives and targets.

o Managing the process and contributing to the development of annual reports/plans, budgets and targets.

o Contribute to the business strategy of the company.

Human Resources Management

o Ensure that the recruitment, management, training, development, and appraisal of staff is undertaken effectively and efficiently.

o Ensure that current employment, equal opportunities and health and safety legislation, together with good practice, are consistently applied.

Additional Tasks
