Innovations in Care is an award-winning care provider

mental illness. We are currently seeking compassionate and experienced Care
Support Workers to join our team. This role involves providing person-centred
support to a client with complex needs, including personal care, promoting
independent living, and assisting during behaviours of distress.
Main duties of the job
As a Care Support Worker you will assist your client to live independently in their own home. Your role includes:
Personal care, Medication management, Meal preparation, Household tasks,Companionship, Mobility assistance, Appointment coordination, Monitoring and reporting, Safety and emergency response, Documentation, Collaboration with healthcare professionals:

- Provide person-centred support to a client with learning

- Assist with personal care tasks, ensuring dignity,
privacy, and respect.
- Promote independence and enable the client to live as
autonomously as possible.
- Support the client in daily activities, including meal
preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to the client's
individual needs and goals.
- Recognise and respond appropriately to behaviours of distress,
utilising de-escalation techniques and following established protocols.
- Foster a therapeutic and supportive environment, promoting
the client's emotional well-being and social inclusion.
- Document interactions accurately and maintain clear and
concise records.
- Collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team,
including healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff.
- Participate in training and development activities to
enhance knowledge and skills in supporting individuals with learning
disabilities, autism, and mental illness.
