What are we looking for?
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join our ICU team, with a competitive salary range on offer up to £55,578 depending upon experience.
This is a Monday-Sunday, Days, Nights and Weekends role with the following shift patterns:
- 6 week rota of 19 shifts
- 08:00 20:30 and 20:00 08:30

Main duties of the job
What are we looking for:
Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Senior Staff Nurse to join our ICU Team. The Intensive Care Staff Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care of patients requiring level 2 and 3 care under indirect supervision from senior staff. They are expected to be able to provide general and specialised direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organisation.

- Provides direct nursing care to patients requiring level 2&3 care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of CCL.
- Prioritises nursing care, recognizes deterioration in patients condition and escalates to the senior nursing team /clinicians immediately.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Provides teaching and educational material as appropriate, validates and documents patient and family understanding of teaching.
- Leads the nursing team in the delivery of patient care collaborating with other disciplines to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Participates effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the unit ensures that the Units KPIs are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standards.

- Demonstrable clinical experience in the field of high acuity critically-ill adults with invasive lines, mechanical ventilation, continuous and intermittent hemodialysis, and vasoactive intravenous medications in a hospital setting.
- Wide range of experience working in critical care specialties including cardiac and cardiothoracic, neurosurgery, renal, and GI surgery.
