Job summary

Cleveland Clinic London are looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join our Intensive Care Unit Team.

Role information

This is a full time/part time, permanent position would require the post holder to work up to 37.5 hours per week.

This is a Monday-Sunday, Days/Nights/Weekends role with the following shift patterns:

  • Monday to Sunday Long Days 0800-2030
  • Monday to Sunday Nights 2000-0830
  • Bank Holidays 0800-2030 & 2000-0830
The maximum salary on offer for this opportunity would be £28,000 and would be dependent upon experience and competencies against the role requirements.

Main duties of the job

The role of the Healthcare Assistant in Intensive Care. Unit is to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care for patients and relatives, while delivering key performance targets including assurance that the professional nursing practice and delivery of care is aligned to the Cleveland Clinic London (CCL) mission and values.

Job responsibilities

  • Develop competence in carrying out tasks such as taking and recording basic observations, assist patient with hygiene, nutritional requirements, perform tests such as urinalysis, Blood glucose etc.ways working in a manner that promotes privacy and dignity.
  • Notify nursing caregivers of changes/concerns in patients condition.
  • Recognise own limitations and request assistance as necessary.
  • Use computer system (EPIC and Windows) to access and update patient records
  • Participates effectively at the Quality improvements initiatives for the ward ensures that the Ward KPIs are achieved and are aligned with CCL quality standards. Contribute to achieving quality and improvement KPIs.
