Job summary
An exciting
opportunity has arisen for a Registered Nurse to join Copperfield's complex needs care home in Cross Green, Leeds, specialising in supporting adults living with complex mental health needs, dementia and neuro-disabilities.
Our Nurse-led team has the skills and expertise to support people with complex needs including prolonged disorders of consciousness and behaviours of concern, and those who require tracheostomies, ventilators and PEG feeding tubes.
Main duties of the job
As an Exemplar Health Care Nurse, youll work with like-minded colleagues, as part of a multi-disciplinary in-house team, to provide the highest standards of nursing care for our residents.
Our approach to nursing focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible, which means that youll be delivering truly person-centred and holistic care in a community-based home.
The post holder will:
- Have a thorough understanding of nursing care and best practice including around infection prevention and control, good hygiene, person-centred care planning and evaluating outcomes of care
- Have a good knowledge and experience of the assessment, admission and discharge process including planning, for service users
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills along with IT knowledge and digital skills
- Have detailed knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and DoLs, and work within the Codes of Practice
- Have detailed knowledge of the Nursing and Midwifery Councils The Code and work within it at all times.

delivering care that focuses on the direct needs of the individual and their
family.
