Job summary

Odstock Medical Ltd (OML) is recruiting for a Specialist Physiotherapist to join the Clinical Team at the National FES centre in Salisbury to deliver Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) treatment for adult and paediatric patients.

Main duties of the job

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver FES treatment for lower and upper limb management as well as other specialist applications. In addition, there is also the opportunity to be involved with a wide variety of other areas including:

Delivering market leading training to current and new FES clinicians.

Involvement with pioneering FES research.

Representing OML at exhibitions and conferences.

In-person and remote support for FES clinicians across the UK to spread best practice.

Participation and input to OML New Product Development projects.

Involvement in running PD Warrior exercise classes.

Odstock Medical Ltd. (OML) is a subsidiary of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and based in the Laing building on the Hospital Site. We are the UK's leading provider of Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) devices and clinical treatment. We were established in 2005 by Salisbury NHS Foundation trust to build on FES expertise.

Odstock Medical's devices have been designed by Clinical Engineers, Clinicians and patients at the National Clinical FES Centre for over 25 years through collaborative effort.

We want to improve the lives of people with neuromuscular disabilities worldwide by providing the highest quality in medical device technology and service. As well as providing the FES devices, treatment and support, we offer FES training for Clinicians so they can offer FES treatment to their patients too.

  • Post graduate experience and education relevant to clinical area
  • HCPC registration.

  • Some paediatric experience.

  • Two years post graduate clinical experience.
  • Ability to demonstrate working autonomously in assessment and developing treatment plans for patients with neurological conditions.

Desirable

  • Substantial experience in neurology.
  • Experience of teaching or presenting.
