Job summary

Outpatient Network is currently seeking Operating Department Practitioners specialising in Cardiothoracic Surgery to join weekend insourcing in University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire

Main duties of the job

  • Provide expert assistance during cardiothoracic surgeries
  • Prepare the operating theatre, ensuring all equipment and instruments are sterile, functional, and ready for use.
  • Monitor and manage specialist equipment such as heart-lung machines and ventilators.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and nursing staff to ensure the smooth running of procedures.
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative care, including monitoring vital signs, managing airway support, and responding to emergencies.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and readiness for future surgeries.

    Key Responsibilities:
