  • Deliver expert diabetes assessment for surgical patients at Pinehill's pre-assessment clinic, wards, and theatre recovery.
  • Support diabetes optimisation before surgery, interpret HbA1c results, and advise on management.
  • Provide specialist advice on insulin and non-insulin diabetes medications.
  • Collaborate with pharmacy for medication reconciliation.
  • Educate on diabetes management around surgery.
  • Work with surgeons, anaesthetists, ward teams, and pharmacy.
  • Ensure safe and timely discharge planning.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Registered Nurse (NMC).
  • Post-registration experience in diabetes or acute care.
  • Strong understanding of insulin therapy and diabetes medications.
  • Excellent communication and teaching skills.
