We currently have a excellent opportunity for a Supplies Co-ordinator to join our team at our Springfield Hospital, based in Chelmsford. As a Supplies Co-ordinator, you will be a dynamic, self-motivated, computer literate person with good communication and interpersonal skills.
Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for the control of the ordering and stock control of the consumables and equipment needed in the hospital. You will also be required to carry out regular stock takes, place orders for goods as well as dispatching and putting away deliveries.

Springfield Hospital opened in 1987 and is one of Essex leading private hospitals. It is a 68 bedded hospital all with en-suite facilities, three of which are two bedded parent and child rooms and a high dependency unit with three beds. There are six operating theatres, a physiotherapy department and on-site private GP services.
The role:

You must be a team player and will have preferably worked in a stock control or goods-in environment previously, though this is not essential as full training will be given.
As a Supplies Coordinator you will be joining a team responsible for handling all orders and management of stock coming into the hospital. You will be responsible for the control of the ordering and stock control of the consumables and equipment needed in the hospital. You will also be required to carry out regular stock takes, place orders for goods as well as dispatching and putting away deliveries.
You will be able to demonstrate:
Professional and confident IT skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalAccuracy and reliabilityThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamInitiative with a flexible and proactive approach to work
English and Mathematics are an essential part of the role as is a good standard of general education. Some knowledge of medical terminology would be beneficial, though not essential. You must have a keen eye for detail.
