Job summary
The successful candidate will assist a multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary patient administration within the radiology department, providing an efficient bookings service and operating within set protocols in a post that is both interesting and varied. You should have the ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including covering for colleagues during absence and annual leave.
Main duties of the job
Undertake general Receptionist duties e.g. answering the phone, liaising with patients and other hospital staff
Ability to use Microsoft package
Understanding of using e-mail systems
Register and book patients onto hospital RIS and Maxims computer system
Use of ERS to accept and process referrals
Verify patient insurance details and update on hospital system where required
Deal with patients accounts with reference to daily billing and provision of correct codes
Investigate issues around billing and rectify in liaison with Finance department
Deal with patient account enquiries
Maintains systems in orderly manner
Develops new systems if required in liaison with Radiology Manager
