A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and pro-active Consultant Anaesthetist to join the team at Buckshaw Hospital, based in Chorley. The successful candidate would be expected to work closely with the existing team to provide a comprehensive Anaesthetic service. This will involve inpatient and day case acute surgery.

Job Description A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and pro-active Consultant Anaesthetist to join the team at Buckshaw Hospital, based in Chorley. The successful candidate would be expected to work closely with the existing team to provide a comprehensive Anaesthetic service. This will involve inpatient and day case acute surgery. The position is for 40 hours a week, including time for CPD. Part time position would also be considered

About Us Buckshaw Hospital is situated on Matrix Park Industrial Estate, Chorley, with close access to the M6, Junction28. Opening in October, 2021 the hospital has 2 laminar flow theatres and a minor operations treatment room. The day case unit offers an ambulatory patient flow to ensure maximum efficiency, allowing for 3 operating sessions in each theatre per day. Buckshaw Hospital is an extension of inpatient services being delivered by Euxton Hall Hospital approximately 3 miles away. The hospitals provide access to high quality, patient centred healthcare services for private, insured and NHS patients within the local community and further afield. Across both sites we have a total of 4 operating theatres, 2 day case treatment rooms, physiotherapy, out-patient consulting rooms and endoscopy. Buckshaw Hospital offers a state of the art diagnostic centre including static CT, static MRI and 3D mammography. In April 2023, Buckshaw was rated 'Good' in all areas by the CQC.
