Job summary

An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and pro-active Pharmacist to develop an in-house Pharmacy Service at Tees Valley Hospital & Cobalt Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Clinical Services.

Main duties of the job

The pharmacy model does not include operation of an in-house dispensary and working as part of a wider clinical team, the pharmacist will provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care. The candidate will be able to build clinical knowledge and a professional portfolio by working closely with the pre-assessment team, providing clinical support on peri-operative medicines management.

Pharmacist Lead Tees Valley Hospital 30 hours ********* Apply and be eligible for the welcome bonus of £3600********* An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and pro-active Pharmacist to develop an in-house Pharmacy Service at Tees Valley Hospital & Cobalt Hospital. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Clinical Services. An adapted Pharmacy model with a new Pharmacy lead on board for the North-east cluster will provide a robust framework to support the successful candidate to work towards developing a standardised Pharmacy strategy driving the medicine optimisation agenda. This is a part time post across both hospitals with a team of two Pharmacy technicians. The Role The successful candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm to develop a new hospital service and will need to be organised and flexible. The pharmacy model does not include operation of an in-house dispensary and working as part of a wider clinical team, the pharmacist will provide a high standard of efficient, individualised patient care. The candidate will be able to build clinical knowledge and a professional portfolio by working closely with the pre-assessment team, providing clinical support on peri-operative medicines management.   • Adhering to GPhC Standards of conduct, ethics and performance
  • Supporting clinical managers in providing effective training and competency review of registered staff
