Modality LLP is a
large-scale provider of NHS Outpatient Services, renowned for its innovative
approach to delivering efficient pathways for patients requiring specialist
care, leading to high-quality patient outcomes. We work in partnership with a
number of hospitals across the country to collaboratively redesign outpatient
services with more care being delivered in community settings.
We are looking for an experienced
community Cardiographer who has the skills, knowledge, and experience to
coordinate and provide holistic outpatient Cardiology investigation testing to
patients. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Main duties of the job
Electrocardiograms (ECGs)
- To lead the recording of routine electrocardiograms on adult and paediatric patients
- To clearly and concisely explain the procedure to the patient
- To perform the ECG accurately to the standard of the Society for Cardiological Science and Technology (SCST)
- To recognise normal and abnormal ECG records and report any abnormal findings to the appropriate clinical member of staff.
Ambulatory ECG Monitors;
- To prepare a range of monitors in preparation for the patient
- To provide clear and concise instruction to the patient on what the test entails, including advice on how to record information in the patient diary
- Apply the ambulatory monitor to the patient in accordance with the service protocol, ensuring all relevant documentation is completed
- To remove monitors from patients, ensuring that all symptom information has been noted in the patient diary
- To download and store holter monitors onto the appropriate computer programme, ensuring data is stored appropriately
Ambulatory BP monitors;
- To issue and apply ambulatory blood pressure monitors to patients, ensuring clear and concise instruction is given to the patient relating to what the test entails and how to record any details in the patient diary
- To recognise the causes of erroneous recordings and to rectify where possible

- Contracts with ICBs and hospital providers
- A diverse clinical workforce of consultants, GPs with extended roles, specialist nurses and allied health professionals
- Delivery of over 120,000 patient consultations per year
- Delivery of 1st consultations within a maximum of 4 weeks from referral from a choice of community locations, 7 days per week
