Job summary
Modality LLP is a large-scale provider of NHS Outpatient Services,
renowned for its innovative approach to delivering efficient pathways for
patients requiring specialist care, leading to high quality patient outcomes.
we work in partnership with a number of hospitals across the country to
collaboratively redesign outpatient services with more care being delivered in
community settings.
We are looking for a Pharmacist Assistant
to work alongside the Medicines Management Pharmacist
at Modality LLP, dealing with all matters associated with medicines and
medicines safety. Community based role and travel to community clinics is part of the role.
The job is not suitable to people who are not resilient to working in
a fast-paced environment, working flexibly in line with ever changing demands
in Community Services and the wider NHS.
All roles will be split between providing GP sessions within one of
our practices and training/working within one of the above specialty areas.

Main duties of the job
The successful post holder will be mainly responsible for auditing clinical sites where medicines are kept and prescribed, these Clinical Audits include (not exhaustive to) - emergency equipment, emergency drugs, prescription security, medical fridges.
- The upkeep and maintenance of emergency trolleys - including emergency equipment and drugs. Ensuring the monthly checks of emergency trolleys are complete and results shared with site managers and relevant management teams.
- Checking that any used or expired consumables have been replaced in a timely manner.
- Managing stock control of medicines across all sites, maintaining appropriate stock levels of medicines, ensuring suitable range and quantities are available.
- Ensuring correct storage of medicines; maintaining appropriate systems across clinical sites to ensure medicine safety which follows national guidelines. Including date checking and routine stock replacement.
