Job title: Therapy Assistant Practitioner-Band 4
Location: 20 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW
Job Type: Permanent Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours/week
The role we are currently looking to recruit is a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to participate in the planning and implementation of holistic, protocol-based care under direction and supervision of Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. To provide assistance with patients' overall care, rehabilitation and safety on the wards and during Aquatic therapy, whilst aligning self to The London Clinic values. To understand and demonstrate an awareness of the departmental policies and procedures, and acknowledge limitations, seeking advice and support as required. To assist wider therapies team and patients across inpatient areas as required. Key Duties
- To accept patients referred by a physiotherapist and and manage and Prioritise own patient case load
- Undertake specific skilled support work to aid the rehabilitation of patients recognising their individuality and promoting privacy and dignity.
- To assist patients to and from aquatic therapy and transferring in and out the pool.
- To manage the rehabilitation of specific patients as delegated by the physiotherapists. Undertake highly skilled support falls management, Musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
