An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Pharmacist-Haematology and Oncology-Band 8a equivalent to join our Pharmacy Team at the London Clinic.

This opportunity is based at our , 22 Devonshire Place, London, where the successful candidate will get to join our expanding multidisciplinary Pharmacy team. Job Description This post will act as an oncology and haematology specialist pharmacist for the London Clinic pharmacy.

Supporting clinical pharmacy services across haematology and oncology in addition to supporting pharmacy across DDW and working with other 8a Lead pharmacists and technicians within aseptics and ward areas

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. Hours: 37.5 hours per week, plus on-call shifts. Location: The London Clinic Main Hospital 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW. Salary: Band 8a equivalent salary range on offer based on skills and experience. Benefits package:

  • Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead an effective clinical pharmacy service to all Haematology areas, and Oncology areas including SCT and ATMP
  • Develop, implement and monitor chemotherapy and Intrathecal chemotherapy policies, training and practice as the intrathecal lead for the Clinic.
  • Provide support to nursing areas to ensure compliance with legislation and good clinical practice initiatives and support training
  • Work with fellows and consultants to ensure an effective MDT process and team working and care for patients
  • Provide expert advice to facilitate introduction of new drugs for cancer treatment and supportive therapies.
  • Provide support to nursing and other healthcare teams to identify opportunities for systems improvements, practice changes to enhance patient experience, and efficient and cost effective services.
  • Provide appropriate and assimilated medicines information to doctors, nursing staff, other healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Work with colleagues and lead on CAR-T programs and governance.
