Main duties of the job
The Head of Nursing Operations, Medical and Surgical Care is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the operational, quality, and safety management of the medical and surgical nursing at The London Clinic. This postholder will lead the end-to-end delivery of inpatient medical and surgical pathways, ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for patients across all stages of their treatment journey.
Working in close partnership with senior stakeholders, including the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Nurse, Medical Director and the Head of Operations, Theatres, Endoscopy and Interventional Radiology, the Head will drive improvements in clinical operations, workforce planning, and patient experience. A key focus of the role is to deliver operational excellence, efficiency, and productivity, enhancing service quality and supporting the long-term strategy.

This is a high-profile Band 8b role with significant scope and visibility, suited to someone with a strong operational track record in acute care nursing.
