We have an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Rotational Radiographer to join our Radiology Team, based at The London Clinic in Central London, W1G 7LJ, with a competitive salary range on offer. Job Profile The London Clinic is one of the UK's private leading comprehensive clinics in the heart of London and also recognised worldwide. This role is to assist in the provision of a General X-ray, Theatre and Fluoroscopic Imaging. Training in Interventional Radiology will also be provided, followed by participation in the on call system and weekend duties. The post holder will be a qualified Diagnostic Radiographer with an active Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration. Patient centred care will be at the forefront of the post holder's clinical and professional practice and they will demonstrate clinical skills that provide the highest standards possible.

  • Job Type: This is a permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week.

  • Key Duties
  • Act as an Operator under IR(ME)R 2017 regulations, assess clinical justification of referrals to ensure that the benefit to the patient outweighs the radiation risk associated with the examination.
  • Act as a patient and staff advocate by minimising their exposure to radiation.
  • Provide efficient and courteous provision of radiographic services to the departments agreed standards whilst taking into account the patient's clinical, physical and cultural needs.
  • To participate in the departmental rota, being flexible in responding to service needs.
  • Perform out of hours duties as and when required within the departmental on call system.
  • Assess clinical workload, communicate work priorities and organise work load in conjunction with other team members.
  • To work effectively as part of a team with the respective work area.
  • Responsible for the safe use and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting faults to senior staff and directly to the manufacturer / service provider when necessary
  • Skills & Experience
  • Hold a BSc in Radiography or equivalent
  • HCPC registered.
