Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for an Anaesthetic Practitioner/Nurse to join our Operating Theatres department at The London Clinic. This post is located at our main hospital site in Central London, and we are offering a competitive salary range of £35,743 - £42,956 per annum plus unsociable hours shift Job Type: full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours p/week. Shift Pattern: We operate a flexible shift pattern covering the service from Mon-Sun, with participation in the on-call rota.
Main duties of the job
As part of the multidisciplinary team, the Anaesthetics Practitioner/Nurse is responsible for the assessment, evaluation and implementation of care given to patients in theatres and the anaesthetic room. Key Duties Work as a skilled member of the anaesthetic team, providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload, whilst assisting and supporting the anaesthetic physician and consultant anaesthetists. Carry out nursing/ODP duties within an anaesthetic area according to policies and procedures, contributing to quality improvement, and promoting best evidence based practice. Ensure that equipment is maintained and stock managed to ensure economical use of all resources. Liaise and communicate with HSDU, recovery, theatre staff and floor nurses to facilitate the provision of excellent patient care. Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment is provided for our patients, customers and visitors.
