Job summary

Priory is the UK's largest independent provider of Mental Health Services and Priory Cheadle Royal Hospital is a specialist provider of complex mental health services, providing clinical excellence across 13 wards which include acute adult wards, Eating Disorder Service, CAMHS, Rehabilitation, Acute and PICU services. Situated on Wilmslow road with easy transport links.

We are now looking for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team on one of CAMHS units - Meadows. Meadows is a 10-bedded CAMHS PICU unit.

Main duties of the job

Your role will include

RC responsibility for all patients.

Safe prescribing and monitoring of physical health.

Comprehensive Assessments and treatment planning with patients external share holders and carers.

Management of patients on the ward including physical health, mental state and risk management and formulation.

Adhering to organisational admission and discharge policy and procedures.

Timely discharge GP notifications and discharge summaries.

Preparation of Mental Health Act tribunal reports.

Must have proficient IT skills as prompt entry onto the electronic care record is essential.

Engagement with external professionals and families/carers.

Participation in audit, research, quality and performance management and other clinical and professional activities.

What you need

Able to fulfil the role of Responsible Clinician to patients.

Meet regulatory requirements, such as GMC registration and revalidation.

The role will include participation in our 1:7 on call rota
