Job summary
Do you have what it takes to become our Associate Director of Clinical Services. If successful you will be able to shape this new and exciting role at Woodbourne Priory Hospital. You will report to the Director of Clinical Services and form part of the Hospital Senior Management Team and, as such, contribute to our quality agenda to ensure care standards and regulatory requirements are fully satisfied. You will have overall responsibility for setting forward looking performance and quality standards, and reviewing existing processes through a suite of Indicators to track and monitor our progress. As well as, proactively and continually leading and embedding quality throughout the service and service lines with the support of our Quality and Compliance lead .
You will play a key part in developing and delivering Woodbournes Quality strategy, providing clinical leadership to the team. Alongside the Hospital Director and Director of Clinical Services you will support the hospital to ensure we are always ready for regulatory and contractual visits and inspections, to ensure the delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care.
Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, close to Birmingham City centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne is conveniently located for access to the West Midlands motorway network and with very good local public transport links.
Main duties of the job
Woodbourne hospital provides a diverse range of inpatient services. These include acute and psychiatric intensive care services for adults, Child and Adolescent Mental Health services, a specialist adult Eating Disorder service and a private addictions service. Across seven wards, our multi-disciplinary teams deliver personalised treatment programmes to our patients and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
Job Purpose
Reporting into the Director of Clinical Services, the Associate Director of Clinical Services forms part of the Hospital Senior Management Team and, as such, contributes to ensuring quality indicators, care standards and regulatory requirements are fully satisfied. The role will have overall responsibility for setting forward looking performance and quality standards, and reviewing existing processes through a suite of Indicators to track and monitor site progress.
Responsibilities
The Associate DoCS plays a key part in developing and delivering the Hospital Quality strategy, providing clinical leadership to the team. Alongside the HD & DoCs support site and in preparing for announced regulatory inspections, and Contractual requirements. Ensures delivery of the highest level of clinical and therapeutic care together with ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and current legislation, meeting quality standards and delivering against quality performance indicators.

Knowledge / Education / Skills
Must be registered with either NMC or HCPC needs of the service will dictate if there is a preference Evidence of significant professional development in the related area of quality, audit and risk management. Strong report writing skills with the ability to present information (both financial and non-financial) and recommendations in a clear and logical way. Passionate about providing high quality care and the Patient and Carer Experience. Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise and multi-task.
Experience
Experience working at a managerial level; within a health or social care setting with a minimum of 2 years Experience of implementing and reviewing quality initiatives in a related environment. Some experience of influencing and leading change Experience of project management and quality reporting.
Communication
Excellent verbal and non-verbal communications including awareness of impact of communication on desired audience. Can flex communication style dependant on situation and message.
