Main duties of the job
As our Clinical Lead / Deputy Manager, you will be at the heart of the service, providing strong clinical leadership, supporting the nursing team, and ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, recovery driven care.
You will:
- Lead and inspire the nursing team with confidence and compassion
- Oversee clinical standards, risk management, and care planning
- Support day to day operational management alongside the Service Manager
- Ensure safe staffing, effective rota management, and a positive team culture
- Drive quality improvement, governance, and CQC compliance
- Work closely with our MDT, families, and external partners
- Step up as Deputy Manager when required, contributing to inspections, reporting, and service development

Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Strong post registration experience in mental health
- Understanding of recovery models, CQC standards, and clinical governance
- Confident leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Desirable
- Experience in mental health rehabilitation
- Previous senior nurse, clinical lead, or deputy management experience
- Leadership or management qualification (or willingness to complete one)
- Experience supporting CQC inspections or service improvement initiatives
