Job summary

We are looking to employPrincipal Psychologiston afixed-termbasis to cover maternity leave. This is an exciting role which provides Psychological assessment and treatment on our Eating Disorder Unit, Lotus. The successful candidate will also contribute to the provision and development of the Psychology service within the hospital.

Lotus ward is a place of hope and healing, where people are offered holistic care and treatment to help them challenge the symptoms of their eating disorder and associated conditions. People are empowered to recover in a collaborative and compassionate environment so that, on discharge, they not only have a healthier body but also skills to help them live a more fulfilling life.

Job responsibilities

• To provide specialist psychological assessment and intervention to patients attending the service.
• To provide specialist advice, guidance and consultation to other professionals contributing directly to clients formulation, diagnosis and treatment plan.
• To exercise autonomous professional responsibility for the assessment, treatment and discharge of clients whose difficulties are managed by psychologically based standard care plans.
• Co-ordinate the delivery of psychological assessment and intervention from other Psychology staff.
• To hold management, clinical and professional supervision of Psychology staff across site.
