Exhilarated to be instrumental in building and driving our approach to Framework management and creating a new team?

This role will be pivotal to ensuring that NHS SBS adopts best-in-class approaches to framework contractmanagement, driving change and supporting the Procurement LOB in achieving its NCIS and SUM growth targets.Directing the next phase of establishing a mature approach to contract and supplier relationship management, you will be building and leading performance, driving an increase in spend under management across the Framework portfolio.

This will be through a more focused and targeted approach to engaging and managing our framework suppliersacross all of our category teams and developing our capability in this specialist area of contract and supplierrelationship management. You will be responsiblefor implementing and overseeing strategies that drive growth, mitigating risk, meeting legislative and policy requirements and deliver outstanding service across all parts of the NHS and wider public sector.This position is pivotal to inspire change and support us in achieving our daring targets. Delivered through cross-functional collaboration, forging strong relationships and deeply understanding our customers and suppliers needs, you will deliver outstanding solutions!

Main duties of the job

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading the development of our contract and supplier relationship management capability and supporting team across each of the Procurement Solutions categories
  • Motivating teams to implement and embed new strategies and practices
  • Advising the development, implementation and evolvement of strategies, embedding these consistently across the team
  • An SME in Framework management / contract management / SRM, including the structure of them and ability to maximise commercial benefits, able to advise senior management on developments and standard processes.
  • Developing strategies that allow the performance management of suppliers to support the delivery of high-quality services to our customers.
  • Anticipating and handling change, encouraging all category teams to develop new knowledge and skills.

What youll bring:

  • Shown experience within category management, contract & supplier relationship management environment within the public sector.
  • Solid understanding of implementing best in class strategies.
  • Experience of applying matrix management principles and applying cross functional ways of working.
  • Background in working across the NHS landscape at a senior level to identify and solution complex procurement requirements across the procurement lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of UK public procurement legislation and policy.

It would be great if you had:

  • Knowledge of operating within a Public Sector Buying organisation environment.
