Job summary

Across London, Greenbrook and Vocare are seeking qualified General Practitioners to join us as a salaried UTC Doctors/ GPs across all our sites.

Main duties of the job

Your Day to Day Working as a Salaried GP, you will work autonomously in a safe and effective manner using your medical experience to support our patients to access the most appropriate care, at the right time and in the right place. You will principally be managing patients with urgent medical needs as part of a team that provides face to face care. You will be responsible for ensuring all patients are dealt with appropriately and efficiently, whilst maintaining a high-quality service. You will work alongside hospital and UTC clinical and operational colleagues to ensure the highest standards of care for all presenting patients as part of a multi skilled team that includes advanced clinical practitioners, nurse practitioners, healthcare assistants and Pharmacists. We take pride in the quality of the care we provide with robust clinical governance that delivers quality and clinical safety. You will have access to senior clinical support, robust governance processes, access to remote and face to face training as well as regular appraisal.

Greenbrook Healthcare, part of Totally Urgent Care, is one of the largest providers of Urgent Treatment Centres UTC in London and Nationally. Greenbrook (together with Vocare our sister company) works at the interface between primary and emergency care to ensure that patients are treated in the right place, at the right time and in the most effective and efficient way both for their needs and as a part of the wider Urgent and Emergency Care system. We work in partnership with our local Emergency Departments to enable them to focus on major injuries and illnesses whilst we look after minor injuries and primary care appropriate cases. All our services are rated as Good by CQC, in London we deliver high quality successful services within 10 Greenbrook UTCs, 1 Vocare UTC, GP Out of Hours, Virtual Wards, Remote Clinical Assessment Services and care for asylum seekers. Job responsibilities

Working in Urgent Primary Care is highly rewarding, providing care to patients face to face, when they are most in need. With defined regular shifts, this role is well remunerated whilst enabling you to better manage your work-life balance. UTC doctors have significantly lower demands on admin tasks than in routine general practice, meaning that when you are clinical you can focus all your efforts on your patients. In addition, we want to develop you as a clinician and future medical leader and will provide you will all the training and support you need. We will work with you to shape a rota pattern that fits around your life and commitments as well as the needs of the service. We strive to be a 'family friendly employer' however, most of our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so flexibility to cover evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays is advantageous but not essential. We expect our doctors to see and treat on average 3 patients per hour, with minimal paperwork, fixed shifts with defined start and finish times as well as the opportunity to pick up extra work across our services including remote work. We will provide support, appraisal and development tailored to your needs
