Main duties of the job
The role is varied, challenging, and rewarding, offering the opportunity to support and develop the service through effective implementation, delivery, and continuous innovation. You will be responsible for delivering the ABL Community Engagement Strategy, working closely with the communications team to raise the profile of the service through social media, website updates, and promotional activities. A key part of the role involves engaging with local services, partners, and stakeholders to build strong relationships, increase awareness, and explore opportunities for partnership and co-production. You will collaborate with operational colleagues to manage referral rates and develop connections with potential referrers, as well as represent ABL at local forums, meetings, and events, including delivering presentations to small and medium-sized groups. Working as part of the wider Gloucestershire team, you will support service delivery where required, contribute to monitoring and evaluation activities, and use feedback to inform ongoing service improvement. The role also includes attending team and engagement meetings, contributing to reports, tracking progress against targets, and supporting communication initiatives such as public events and awareness sessions, with occasional weekend work. You will bring a proactive, innovative mindset, supporting co-production activities with local residents and stakeholders to continuously shape and enhance the service.
