Job summary

Support various People team functions, with a primary focus on recruitment, learning and development, HR systems and records, and employee engagement. Develop practical experience while completing all necessary training to achieve the CIPD Level 3 qualification.

Main duties of the job

As an HR Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting a broad range of HR activities across the full employee lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include acting as a first point of contact for People-related queries, processing employee changes, supporting recruitment and onboarding, and maintaining accurate and compliant HR records and systems. Youll assist with coordinating training, tracking compliance, and supporting the delivery of personal development and appraisal processes. Additionally, youll contribute to employee engagement initiatives, surveys, and culture-focused projects that reflect our values and support a positive working environment. Job description

Job responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Provide support and gain experience in the following People activities:

HR Service Delivery

1. Act as a point of contact for queries and requests from divisional managers and team members. Where possible, respond to queries or otherwise, take accurate details and pass to the appropriate team member for response.

2. Work positively with all People team members in support of the core values and provide a flexible and responsive service.

3. Assist with processing changes during the employee lifecycle including amendments to hours, roles, salaries.

4. Provide support for People projects and initiatives, including organising meetings, circulating information and taking notes.

5. Provide administrative support to the Head of People and Culture and the People Business Partners.

Records and Systems

1. Contribute to the development and updating of the computerised HR information system so that information is current and easily accessible.

2. Ensure that all information is stored and processed in accordance with Data Protection and Confidentiality requirements.

3. Provide reports from the system including those relating to HR trends and KPIs.

4. Ensure that policies, procedures, handbooks and other documents are readily available on the system and source them when required.

5. Work collaboratively with other team members to identify and implement new methods of digitising the People service, so that it operates as efficiently and responsively as possible.

Culture and Values

1. Provide support for and co-ordinate employee engagement initiatives, so that the voice of employees is heard and appropriately acted upon.

2. Support delivery of regular and varied employee surveys and assist with analysis of the results.

3. Champion the core values in all People activities and ensure colleagues do the same.

Learning and Development

1. Keep records of compulsory training, including safeguarding and health and safety at work to ensure it is undertaken by employees as required.

1. Monitor the appraisal and personal development support processes across the organisation, ensure they are carried out for all employees

2. Ensure that person centred onboarding and induction processes are consistently and effectively implemented to support employee retention.

3. Support managers in arranging training to meet identified needs.

4. Record attendance at training and produce summary reports when required.

5. Assist with evaluation of training so that feedback improves the learning experience.

6. Provide support with external accreditation initiatives, including Investors in People.

Recruitment

1. Provide support to the Internal Recruiter including carrying out pre-employment checks efficiently.

2. Provide support with writing and maintaining accurate job descriptions for all roles.

3. Deal with speculative employment enquiries and provide vacancy information to potential candidates.

4. Liaise with candidates as required and answer any queries they may have.

5. Provide support with recruitment events including open days and careers events.

6. Support a smooth transition from recruitment through to induction and probationary reviews.
