Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available within the Be U Swindon Mental Health Support Team for a full time Clinical Supervisor and Senior Education Mental Health Practitioner to increase the services supervision capacity. Under expert supervision and as part of a dynamic and evolving mental health support team the successful post- holder will supervise, develop, and support Education Mental Health Practitioners/Childrens Wellbeing Practitioners to provide guided self-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and Whole School Approach Interventions. The role will also involve highlighting areas of need within the team and helping to develop the service and create quality improvement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues. The post holder will also hold a small caseload of 6-8 in agreement with their supervisor and some line management responsibility will be required.

Main duties of the job
To work co-operatively with other professionals in childrens services, health agencies and other community-based services, including managing relationships with schools and attendance of internal and external meetings.To attend and contribute to relevant meetings as identified by management.To monitor the waiting list for a cluster team of schools and to allocate referrals via agreed protocols within the service, with support and oversight from the Senior Management Team.To advise on and/or lead practice in areas of service-and cluster specialism. To develop and evaluate existing and new areas of specialism within the service, including care record audits, school audits, participation.
To apply safeguarding and child protection procedures and to report as necessary. To keep up to date with safeguarding policies and procedures within ABL Health, schools and Swindon Borough Council.
