Main duties of the job
Duties and Responsibilities
The role involves providing clinical oversight when needed for the Children and Young Peoples specialist weight-management service. It also includes:
completing in-person medical reviews with support from a Paediatric Dietitian.
advising on care coordination and case management where needed based on MDT discussions and risk assessments within a multidisciplinary team to arrive at the best approach to help patients manage their weight.
managing complex cases and supporting decision-making around this when needed.
Training in the role will be provided, and is a great opportunity, particularly for portfolio GPs, to develop in a specialist area.
