Job summary
We are seeking a Front-End Developer and UX Lead
with a passion for gamification, user-centered design, and front-end
development to join our team. In this role, youll work closely with our
behavioural science experts to design and develop compelling, intuitive
products that promote healthy behaviour and deliver life changing user
experiences.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Front-End Development: Develop responsive, interactive mobile applications using React Native.
- UX Strategy: Shape the user experience strategy for our mobile applications, building user journeys that are intuitive and aligned with ABLs mission of promoting wellness.
- Gamification: Integrate gamification principles to boost engagement and motivate users toward healthy behaviours.
- Graphic/UI Design: Create visually appealing, brand-aligned graphics, icons, and animations to enhance the app's look and feel.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product Managers, Mobile Developers, and our in-house behavioural science experts.
- User Research & Testing: Conduct and apply insights from user research, usability testing, and analytics to improve the app experience.
- Accessibility: Ensure interfaces are accessible and inclusive, providing a seamless experience for all users.

- Experience: At least 4 years in front-end development, with a strong focus on user experience and mobile design.
- Front-End Skills:
- Proficiency in React Native, with experience building mobile applications for both iOS and Android.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript and CSS, with the ability to translate design concepts into responsive, performant code.
- UX & Gamification: Experience in UX design, with a track record of applying gamification principles in digital products.
- Graphic Design Skills: Ability to create and implement graphics, icons, and animations to enhance the user experience, using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
- User-Centred Design Principles: Deep understanding of UX best practices, particularly for mobile applications.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to use user feedback, analytics, and A/B testing data to drive UX and UI enhancements.
- Desirable: Experience in health-tech or wellness apps, with familiarity with compliance and privacy standards such as GDPR.
