ABL is rapidly growing and looking for HR Advisors with 5 years experience of case management looking to progress and take on a HR Management role.

The post holder will be responsible for HR and Employee relations advice to a specified division of the ABL workforce; also providing cover for advice in other divisions as and when required.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support line managers in monitoring all aspects of employee performance and addressing any under-performance issues in a timely manner and in line with existing ABL policies and procedures. This will include but not be limited to; capability, absence management, discipline and grievance as well as supporting the HR Lead in provision of regular workforce information reports to the divisions operational management teams.

Under the direction of the HR Lead, this role will also play a key part in implementation of key HR related projects as and when required when rolling out projects/initiatives across ABL. As an example; this could include roll out and monitoring of our annual Professional Development Plan process (appraisals) within the specified division(s).

Skills & Competencies required:

Exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple cases and prioritise workload.

Exceptional communication skills, adapting approach to relevant audience and situation.

Solid knowledge base of employment legislation and its application.

Proactive, with a customer service focus and problem-solving approach.

Experienced in managing complex ER issues from informal through to hearings and appeals.

Maintaining confidentiality and acting with discretion/diplomacy is critical for this role.

Self motivated, able to work well under own autonomy and as part of a team.

  • Demonstrable experience in managing ER caseload including grievance and disciplinary.
