Job summary

An outstanding new job opportunity has arisen for a committed member of the ABL team to work closely with the Weight Management Divisional Operations lead, Obesity Professional lead, and Head of Services. You will be covering services across the weight management portfolio and focus on improving weight management outcomes. The role will require you to embed with Obesity strategy across services and to improve outcomes through regular observation, upskilling, and training staff, and supporting staff to use the alternative diet approaches. You will support each service with strategic engagement and represent ABL in setting up local Obesity alliances and be seen as a leader in Health Improvement and Weight Management Services.

Main duties of the job

Skills and Competencies Required

An experienced senior leader with experience in delivering excellent weight management services.

Skilled in project management accustomed to using tools and processes to identify project goals, set and manage the schedule, anticipate, and identify issues, remove obstacles, delineate responsibility, track task completion, and communicate progress

Experience in evolving and developing services within a complex health system.

A positive and proactive leader with the ability to motivate, engage and support teams to achieve the highest standards and outcomes.

A strategic thinker, able to foresee and take action to deal with problems and opportunities.

An adept communicator who adapts the message to fit the needs of the audience

Results orientated and naturally seek quantitative goals and actively seek to outperform them.

You will be a motivated, passionate, organized, and proactive leader with significant experience in public health and managing delivery teams. The role will require dynamic leadership which embraces the vision and values.

As the Weight Management and Wellbeing Services Quality Improvement Lead, your key responsibilities include:

Exercise strong practice leadership in a style and manner consistent with the companys values, sharing best practices, positively influencing colleagues at all levels, and encouraging reflective practice and a culture of continuous improvement.

Drive quality improvement across the division and support the Nottinghamshire service contributing towards overall Divisional objectives.

Conduct observations across all services and feed improvements needed in each service development plan.

Upskill staff and organize training to improve the quality of delivery including group facilitation for face-to-face and virtual sessions and the use of alternative diet approaches.

Effectively work with the data team, Heads of Service, and Project leads to ensure the data for all weight management services demonstrate clear outcomes.

Work with the Obesity Professional lead and Divisional Operations lead to embed the Obesity strategy across all services.

Support the Divisional Operations Lead to improve wider system integration across all services.

Support teams to plan and implement improvement work from the initial diagnostic stages through to implementation and benefits realization.

Support the Business Development team with bid writing as and when required.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in the health-related field: Nutrition, Dietetics, Nursing, Public Health.

Desirable

  • Masters Qualification or equivalent.
  • Quality improvement certification or equivalent.
