About us
In 2014, Dr Conal Perrett, an experienced consultant
dermatologist with over 20 years NHS experience, frustrated by the length of
time patients had to wait for treatment, developed the concept of clinical
insourcing to improve patient access to medical care and reduce waiting times,
whilst maintaining clinical excellence to deliver optimal outcomes for
patients.
He set about building a team of expert clinicians partnering
with NHS trusts to manage elective pathways, achieve their target of an 18-week
waiting time, and improve the lives of patients and their families.
This vision has been perpetuated over the years, and to this
day 18 Week Support is supported by a hand-picked team of eminent Clinical
Leads, advising and guiding the delivery of the service, for each of the 15
specialties supported.
