Job summary

The fundamental role of the Cardiology Nurse advisor is to support the Lead Nurse(s) in delivering Cardiology services at 18 Week Support. The role requires you to share your expert clinical knowledge based on your cardiology experience in line with NICE guidance and latest research to ensure we are delivering a safe, quality service to our customers.

Main duties of the job

Sharing your knowledge and experience in cardiology Nurse Advisor non-surgical and surgical procedures and treatments

Advise on service specifications, patients pathways, staffing models and cardiology competencies for nurses, nursing associates and HCAs

Support and advise our sales team in delivering cardiology contracts and tendering for new business

Creating/updating audits in relation to cardiology services

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree in Nursing & active NMC registration
  • Post registration in appropriate area of speciality
  • Teaching or mentorship qualification

Experience

Essential

  • Previous Band 7 experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development

Desirable

  • Advanced clinical assessment skills/competencies
  • V300 Nurse Prescriber
  • Management and leadership experience
  • Involvement in research and audit
  • Report writing and service improvement.
