Job summary

CLINICAL FELLOW (eqv. To ST1/2) IN PALLIATIVE MEDICINE Salary: Basic salary £49,909 pro-rata pa plus £14,701 pro-rata pa for on call work plus £2,162 pro-rata pa London Weighting. This is an ideal opportunity for doctors with a special interest in palliative medicine offering a full time, fixed term contract. There is a post available for 6-12 months. The post will be from 6th August 2025.  This post may be suitable for someone wishing to gain experience in palliative medicine with a view to applying for a higher training scheme in palliative medicine or a related specialty.

Main duties of the job

he successful applicant will join a team of 3 Consultants and 7 junior doctor colleagues including 2 Speciality Doctors, 2 SpR trainees in Palliative Medicine, 1 IMT trainee, 2 GP trainees and a GPITP trainee.  Opportunities for development and career progression will be supported in line with the applicants level of training and personal development goals. About us

St Josephs currently has two wards, Lourdes and St Michaels, which have 17 beds each. We provide high quality, specialist palliative care and support to people in our local community who have a life-limiting illness. There are excellent modern facilities including a busy community team, day hospice, complementary therapies centre, bereavement service, access to a multi-lingual advocacy team and a purpose-built education centre and library.
