Job summary

The HR department is a small dynamic and close-knit team focussed on continuous improvement. This year will be an exciting year of innovation and transformation, which will see new processes and practices implemented to respond to the changing needs of the Hospice.

Main duties of the job

You will need: Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Team player who is approachable and has a can do attitude. A strong sense of customer care and inclusivity is a must as well as a willingness to commit to the core values of the Hospice. Main areas of accountability would be; to own the admin aspects of the employee lifecycle; manage and implement the Hospices file management protocol in line with GDPR and work with the team to continuously review and improve the way we do things.

We provide compassionate, specialist palliative care to people in the diverse community of East London who are living with a life-limiting illness. The HR Assistant will join a busy engaged team and will be able to play their role in the life of the Hospice primarily by supporting the wider HR Team to support managers via a business partnering approach. Main areas of accountability would be; to own the admin aspects of the employee lifecycle; manage and implement the Hospices file management protocol in line with GDPR and work with the team to continuously review and improve the way we do things.

The successful candidate will be a team player who is approachable, has a can-do attitude, is proactive and can work on their own initiative. This role is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop and grow their HR career within a dynamic organisation. A CIPD qualification desirable as is holding a good grasp of the essentials of employment law and HR best practice. A strong sense of customer care and inclusivity is a must as well as a willingness to commit to the core values of the Hospice
