We are excited to be recruiting to the role of Welcome Host supporting our clinical service in Oxfordshire.
The purpose of the Welcome Host role will be to enable high quality patient care by ensuring patients are warmly welcomed, checked in for their appointment and guided to their appointment rooms if required and assist in the resolution of patient problems. The Welcome Host will be the face of Connect Health for this service and be a key element of the patient experience, providing in-front of the desk care at busy and peak times.
Our Welcome Hosts are a very visible part of our offer. To that end, the role is not confined to a desk, floorwalking is considered a key part of the job as we endeavour to make patients feel special. You will be equipped with mobile technology (e.g. tablet devices) that will allow you to actively work in the interest of the patient such as checking them in, giving directions, booking taxis, helping with public transport, arranging future appointments and capturing (and acting on) patient feedback.

Reporting in to the Team Leader or Operations Manager, this is an opportunity for you to be at the heart of delivering a fantastic patient experience. Our patients come to us from all walks of life, and are all at different stages of their physiotherapy journey. With a firm focus on delivering the right care, in the right place, at the right time, the Welcome Host plays a key role in supporting their clinical colleagues in bringing that to life and we need someone who is passionate and has the purpose to make a massive difference, at pace and in an ever changing environment.
As the Welcome Host, you will have responsibility for key tasks within patient service. You will welcome and check-in patients, facilitating their appointments and offering post appointment care and support. At key or busy times, you will deliver an in-front of desk service, walking the floor ensuring that patient care and wellbeing is a priority at all times.
The successful individual will support their colleagues within the service providing general office support to Health Centre staff, e.g. filing, shredding, distribution and sending of post, and ensure that the reception area is clean, tidy and welcoming.

- Previous experience in delivering musculoskeletal services with tangible results and commitment to providing excellent, personalised care.
- A deep understanding of the impact of Musculoskeletal pain in the wider community and how collaborative working across the local system enables prevention and addresses health inequalities.
- Current valid registration with your relevant professional body or equivalent regulator (HCPC, GOsC, SST or BASraT)
- Outstanding values that underpin clinical expertise and people management
- Proven track record of influencing patients, people, commissioners, and pathways
- Understand, influence and drive quality of audits and the integration of EBP.
- Educational acuity in developing and providing specialist teaching in Musculoskeletalpractice.
