Job summary

-Provide high-quality scrub assistance across agreed surgical specialties -Prepare, check, and manage surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables -Maintain strict aseptic technique and comply with Infection Prevention and Control standards -Actively participate in WHO Surgical Safety Checklists and local NatSSIPs processes -Support safe and efficient patient flow within a day-case theatre setting -Contribute to clinical governance, audit activity, and continuous service improvement -Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists, outpatients, and diagnostic teams

Main duties of the job

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Theatre Scrub Practitioner to join our busy and well-established day surgery service. At The Norwich Clinic, we operate a modern-day surgery unit, including theatre suite with anaesthetic room and a 2 bed recovery area. We are proud of our strong safety culture, efficient day-case pathways, patient-centred approach and exceptional patient feedback The post holder will work as part of a multidisciplinary theatre team, delivering safe, effective, and efficient care in line with professional standards, national guidance, and local policies. This role is ideal for a practitioner who values teamwork, high clinical standards, and the predictability of a day-surgery environment.
