Job summary
You will have line management responsibilities including but not limited to clinical supervision, providing Psycholotherapeutic advice and guidance and assisting with the analysis of statistical data for research and audit purposes. Offer staff training, running reflective practice and team formulations.
You will use your knowledge, experience and skills to provide advice and consultation on psychological aspects of pain management to other health professionals and to advance knowledge and practice of psychological theories and principles.
You will have a British Psychological Society Accredited post-graduate doctoral degree in an applied field of psychology (clinical, health or counselling) and will be registered with The Health & Care Professions Council as a Practitioner Psychologist.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a Lead Psychologist to join our newly forming interdisciplinary chronic pain team based in Brent. We are looking for an experienced psychologist with a passion for working in the field of chronic pain management, experience of managing caseloads within a physical health setting and leading a team.
You will provide specialist psychological assessments and formulations, and deliver individual and group interventions as part of our interdisciplinary community-based chronic pain service, working alongside nurses, doctors, and physiotherapists.
You will have excellent communication and relationship skills and be resilient in responding to sometimes hostile, antagonistic or highly emotive situations. You will develop and foster conducive relationships with local and national clinical stakeholders including IAPT services, GPs, secondary care and other clinically important contacts.
