Job summary
Senior Women's Health Physiotherapist Part Time £31,000 - £39,000 + HCLA15 hours per week.
About the Role
Connect Health have been asked to manage and deliver the community physiotherapy service on behalf of Brent CCG. Our aim is to build on the success of the previous service through application of our specialist MSK supportive infrastructure.
We expect the service to develop and become larger and as such are looking for skilled, motivated and passionate clinical staff to join the existing team in delivering a fantastic, innovative local service to the people of Brent. You will work in conjunction with the current staff to join and enlarge their team.
Our philosophy of care is based on patient empowerment; ensuring all people have timely access to the right information, allowing them to make informed, shared decisions about their future care needs. We support staff to understand the importance of a Biopsychosocial (BPS), evidence-informed approach which has shared decision making at its heart, as well as a focus on activity/exercise.
Main duties of the job
Key Tasks will include:
To utilise Womens Health expertise to function as a Senior Womens Health Physiotherapist managing a varied clinical caseload within designated clinical environments
Services delivered and Clinical interventions will vary depending on contract/site, patient/clients needs, and clinician experience/knowledge, but will need to include; assessments, advice, treatment, individual or group rehab, educational seminars, screening.
Management shall be centred on a specialist physiotherapy and continence service which includes advice on diet, weight-loss, alcohol and smoking cessation. The role will require specific clinician experience / knowledge in the following essential areas:
oThe management of female urinary incontinence/pelvic floor exercises
oThe management of patients with stress incontinence,
oUrgency,
oCyctocele,
oUtero-vaginal prolapse,
oRectocele,
oPostnatal and postoperative conditions
