Job summary

The post holder will be a qualified pharmacist holding an independent prescribing qualification, who acts within their professional boundaries as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of GPs, ANPs, Physician Associates, Paramedics and First Contact Physios.

Main duties of the job

You will receive continuous professional development through our nationally renowned GP-led training programme, as well as focused training to develop your digital clinical skills.

Your support network will include a clinical supervisor and an extended admin, management team. Additional training will be provided for any areas of identified development

Job responsibilities

  • Prescribing, online and telephone clinical triage, management of minor illness and LTC advice
  • Delivery of safe, clinical decision making and expert care.
  • Work collaboratively with all members of the multi-professional team.
  • Drive innovation, modernisation and high levels of staff and patient satisfaction.

To be considered for this exciting role you must have

  • Undergraduate degree in pharmacy and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Independent prescribing qualification
  • Ability to apply effective clinical judgement in the prioritisation and decision-making aspects of the role
  • Previous General Practice experience is desirable, however, those with no experience are encouraged to apply as full training and induction will be provided
